Snow Days!!

We arrived at our hotel around 9:00 pm last night.  Our driver dropped us off at the front door and we made our way inside to check in.  The hotel was beautiful!

We were able to get two rooms right next to each other.   Both rooms have double beds so we have plenty of room.

We spent a little time getting unpacked and a lot of time trying to get the wi-fi to work.   The wi-fi is still tricky, but we are obviously making it work!

We turned in early and slept until 5:45 this morning.   We awoke to snow this morning....it was like Christmas!   The kids were so happy!!

We got dressed and heading out to find some breakfast.   Breakfast at the hotel would cost us nearly $70 a day, so we decided to go out and explore other options.   Of course, we had to stop first for some snowball action!

We walked for a bit in search of a bakery, but found McDonald's instead. We decided that would work!  Ordering was interesting....I was not even sure what we had ordered until we had our food!

After breakfast, we walked around a bit more.   Everything is interesting because it is so different than what we are used to.  The kids thought this motorcycle (equipped with giant gloves for cold weather riding!) was awesome!!

We opted for lunch at the hotel.   The restaurant had an outdoor courtyard. Anita and I sat inside and watched the kids play in the snow for quite a while.   Several of the waitresses found them quite amusing!

After lunch, we walked around the hotel for a little bit.   We found the swimming pool, but swimming caps are required.   We didn't bring ours and the ones at the hotel sell for $30 each, so we may be out of luck!

Our last stop of the day was to the 7-11 to buy snacks for tomorrow.   We DID NOT buy these!

Tomorrow morning (Sunday evening for those of you in America), our guide will pick us up at the hotel at 6:40 AM and we will drive to the orphanage to meet Claire!  Please pray for her and for us.   She will most certainly be nervous and afraid.  My heart breaks when I think of how brave she will have to be to leave everything she knows behind.   We already love her so much and cannot wait to see her for the first time. Very soon, my sweet girl, your long wait for a family will be over.
